AGO Memphis has established and supports two scholarships to aid students interested in studying the organ as a profession.

The Frances Milam Scholarship was established in 1996 as the Organ Scholarship in memory of long time Memphis Chapter member Shirley Witte to encourage and support high school graduating seniors of the greater Memphis area choosing to study organ at the college level. In lieu of a senior candidate, the Scholarship Committee may elect to award funds to a younger student specifically to attend an AGO Pipe Organ Encounter (POE) or a similar program. In 2005, this award was renamed in memory of Frances Milam, a longtime active member who left a bequest to the Memphis Chapter.

The Mildred Ramsey Scholarship Scholarship was established in 2005 in memory of Mildred Ramsey to fund organ lessons for students of any age. The funds are provided primarily through donations from chapter members. Application for these funds may be made at any time, but must be submitted by a current member of the Memphis Chapter who will serve as the teacher, and who can recommend the applicant without reservation.
